Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit caliloanpro.com or reach out to Chris Johnson / Affinity Mortgage. Written in plain English first, with fuller detail below each section.

Last updated: July 10, 2026
Applies to: caliloanpro.com and any forms, calls, or texts connected to it

The short version
  • We collect basic info (name, email, phone, and loan-related details) only when you give it to us — through a contact form, the calculator, or a call/text.
  • We never sell your personal information, and we don't share it with outside companies to market their own products to you.
  • We use cookies and tools like Google Analytics and ad pixels to understand site traffic and measure our marketing — you can opt out (see Section 4 and Section 9).
  • If you apply for a loan, your financial information is handled through Affinity Mortgage's secure loan platform (Loanzify), which has its own privacy and security practices in addition to this page.
  • Texting us? Standard message/data rates apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
  • California residents have specific rights to know, delete, correct, and limit how we use your data — see Section 9.
  • Questions? Email chris_j@ouraffinity.com or call (408) 687-6109.

1. Information we collect

In plain terms: We collect the info you give us directly — name, email, phone, and details about what you're looking for (like loan type or estimated home price) — plus some general technical info that comes automatically from your browser.

In full: When you contact us, use the mortgage calculators, or fill out a form on this site, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, loan type of interest, and estimated home price or loan amount. We collect this information only when you voluntarily provide it — you're free to browse the site, including the calculators, without submitting any personal information.

We also automatically receive limited technical information whenever you visit the site, such as your browser type, device type, general location (city/region level, from IP address), pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This technical information does not, on its own, identify you personally.

2. How we collect it

We collect information when you:

  • Submit a contact form or the first-time buyer intake form
  • Use a calculator and choose to text or send your results to Chris
  • Call or text the phone number listed on the site
  • Book a call through our Calendly scheduling link
  • Click through to apply or sign in through our loan portal (Loanzify)
  • Interact with the site in ways that generate automatic technical data (see Section 4)

3. How we use your information

In plain terms: We use your information to answer you, follow up on what you asked about, and run the practical side of the business — not to sell it or spam you.

In full: We may use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, questions, and requests
  • Follow up on a calculator scenario, quote request, or consultation request you asked for
  • Prepare and discuss loan program options relevant to your situation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Improve this website and understand which pages and tools are useful to visitors
  • Comply with recordkeeping and disclosure obligations that apply to licensed mortgage professionals
  • Send you information you've specifically asked for (for example, a follow-up text about a calculator scenario)

We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing email campaigns unless you've separately opted in, and any such message would include a clear way to opt out.

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

In plain terms: Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools to see how visitors use the site and to measure whether our advertising is working. You can turn these off in your browser or through the opt-out link in the footer.

In full: This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and advertising/retargeting pixels (such as Meta Pixel and/or Google Ads), to understand site traffic, measure the performance of our marketing, and, in some cases, show relevant ads to past visitors on other websites.

These tools may collect information such as pages visited, time on site, referring website, and general device/browser information. Advertising pixels may also allow us or our ad partners to recognize your browser across visits for retargeting purposes.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. If you have Global Privacy Control (GPC) enabled in your browser, we honor that signal as an opt-out of the sale/sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, consistent with California law. Turning off cookies may affect how some parts of the site function (for example, the calculators may not save your inputs between visits).

See Section 9 for how to specifically opt out of the sharing of your data for advertising purposes if you're a California resident.

5. Text/SMS communications

In plain terms: If you text us or opt in to texts about a calculator scenario, standard rates apply, and you can stop anytime by replying STOP.

In full: By providing your phone number and submitting a form indicating consent, or by initiating a text conversation with us, you consent to receive text messages from Chris Johnson / Affinity Mortgage related to your inquiry, loan scenario, or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. How we share your information

In plain terms: We don't sell your information. We only share it with the people directly involved in helping you — like Affinity Mortgage's loan processing systems, or the scheduling tool you used to book a call — and with service providers who help us run the site.

In full: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information with:

  • Affinity Mortgage, the licensed entity (NMLS #252576) that Chris Johnson (NMLS #235072) operates under, for purposes of processing loan inquiries and applications
  • Loanzify, our loan origination and client portal platform, if you choose to apply for a loan or sign in to the client portal
  • Calendly, if you book an appointment through our scheduling link
  • Service providers who help operate the website, such as hosting and analytics providers, under obligations to protect your information
  • Regulators or legal authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the safety of others

Each of these third-party platforms (Loanzify, Calendly, and any analytics/ad tools) has its own privacy practices governing information you provide directly to them, in addition to this policy.

7. Your loan application & financial information

In plain terms: If you go further and apply for a loan, you'll be moving into Affinity Mortgage's secure loan system, which handles sensitive financial information (income, assets, Social Security number, credit) under its own privacy notice and federal requirements — not just this website page.

In full: This website is an informational and lead-generation tool. If you choose to apply for a loan through the "Apply Now" or client portal links, you'll be directed to Affinity Mortgage's loan origination platform, where you'll provide nonpublic personal financial information (such as income, assets, employment, Social Security number, and credit history) directly to Affinity Mortgage in connection with your loan application.

As a financial institution, Affinity Mortgage is required under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and Regulation P to provide you with a separate, formal privacy notice describing how your nonpublic personal financial information is collected, used, and shared, along with your right to opt out of certain sharing, at the time you establish a customer relationship and annually thereafter. That notice governs your financial information once you begin the loan application process; this page governs the website itself.

8. Third-party sites and services

Our site links out to third-party sites and services we don't control, including Google and Yelp (for reviews), Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn (social media), Calendly (scheduling), and Loanzify (our loan portal). Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information, and we encourage you to review those policies separately — we're not responsible for their practices.

9. Your California privacy rights

In plain terms: If you're a California resident, you have specific legal rights over your personal information — to know what we have, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of having it shared for advertising purposes. We honor these rights and don't discriminate against you for exercising them.

In full: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected, used, and disclosed about you
  • Delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we're required to retain for regulatory or recordkeeping purposes as a licensed mortgage business)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including sharing with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Section 4 — we honor Global Privacy Control signals)
  • Limit the use of any sensitive personal information
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14, or use the browser-based Global Privacy Control opt-out described in Section 4. We'll respond within the timeframe required by law. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

10. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you share with us from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately for the type of data involved — with extra care given to any financial information handled through our loan application partner.

11. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, respond to your inquiries, and meet legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations that apply to licensed mortgage professionals. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

12. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
